Alright from what I’ve read, this looks like an earlier design for Sonic (theres differences in proportions and shoe design), probably made to give the executives an idea on what he would look like in cartoony live action.

Also for those wondering about Chris Pratt in that poster it turns out that he and a couple of other actors were considered for the role of Tom Wachowski-
