saying “its okay if you dont fit standards of beauty set up by oppressors” is NOT the same as saying “it’s okay to be ugly” the latter implies that there IS something wrong/ugly about you but its “okay”. the former throws the entire standard away and tells people that it doesn’t matter if an oppressive force labels you as ugly because thats not who you are.
