what i do is wait on the street corner in front of my apartment for any elderly looking citizens to walk by. when one does, i VERY VERY CAREFULLY get on their back (without breaking their stride, otherwise they notice me and start biting at my fingers). from there i put an english textbook in front of their eyes and flip through the pages so they absorb all the information. from there, i just gingerly whisper my destination into their ear a few times and that usually gets em going where i need them to. depending on the distance, it usually takes an hour or two.
how do you like get around without knowing japanese
